Doechii is gearing up to bring her signature swamp vibes to Chicago — and she’s hinting that the show might come with an extra surprise.
In a post on X this past Thursday (July 31), the self-proclaimed Swamp Princess teased fans with the possibility of sharing the stage with a well-known guest. The rising rap star is set to perform at Lollapalooza on Saturday (Aug. 2) at 6:55 p.m., taking over the T-Mobile stage right before headliners Rufus du Sol.
“I’m thinking about bringing a guest to DOECHII-PALOOZA … who should it be,” the Florida native wrote, leaving fans buzzing with speculation.
While the identity of the mystery guest remains under wraps until showtime, the odds are wide open — dozens of big-name artists are scheduled to perform throughout the festival. Notably, Doechii has previously teamed up with Tyler, the Creator, who headlines the event just two days earlier on Thursday (July 31), performing their collab “Balloon” from his Chromakopia album.
This Lollapalooza appearance comes on the heels of a monumental year for Doechii. Her breakthrough mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal, skyrocketed her into the global spotlight, earning her the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 2025 ceremony. Just months later, she landed her first-ever top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with the fan-favorite “Anxiety,” which peaked at No. 9.
Her momentum didn’t stop there. Earlier this year, Doechii was crowned Billboard’s Woman of the Year at the Women in Music Awards. Reflecting on her journey, she told the audience, “I cannot believe it was just two years ago I stood on this stage right here and accepted the Billboard Rising Star Award. I had literally performed so hard I danced my shoes off and had to hop up to the mic. And here I am. That moment reflects how I approach my career – always go full out, always go hard, and always be fab.”
This year’s Lollapalooza will run from Thursday (July 31) through Sunday (Aug. 3) at Chicago’s Grant Park. Alongside Tyler, the Creator and Rufus du Sol, other headliners include pop powerhouses Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter.
