Raised in the heart of Crenshaw and Slauson one of LA’s most iconic and culturally rich neighborhoods Savvy brings the essence of the West Coast to everything he does. Originally born in Houston, Texas, he moved to Los Angeles as a teen and quickly made Crenshaw his home. Like Nipsey, he built his name from the ground up, selling CDs hand-to hand and building a loyal following on the streets before the internet was the main stage.
Blending classic West Coast vibes with Southern roots, Savvy Sav delivers a unique, authentic sound that’s resonating beyond LA. With five studio albums already under his belt, he’s currently in the studio working on his highly anticipated sixth project, Streets of LA.
His latest single, “Hips Rocc” featuring fellow Crenshaw native SKG (Helecia Choyce), is already picking up steam. The track showcases his evolving sound, smooth yet gritty, catchy but real proving he’s just as comfortable in the club as he is in the streets.
