Pennsylvania-based independent artist Kormanec is continuing to build momentum after more than 15 years of making music. Blending hip-hop and rap with alternative influences, Kormanec has developed a sound shaped by years of experimentation, independent production and a wide range of musical inspirations.
His influences include artists and bands such as Monkey Majik, Tool, Korn and Red Hot Chili Peppers. While hip-hop remains central to his current work, these influences contribute to the darker, genre-bending approach that has become part of his artistic identity. Kormanec also maintains significant creative control over his career, producing tracks, writing lyrics and helping develop the visual direction surrounding his releases.
That independent approach reached a notable milestone in April 2026 when his single “Buildin In The Sand” climbed to No. 3 on the iTunes Canada Hip-Hop chart, according to The Hype Magazine. The achievement followed growing international radio exposure and media attention around his music.
Kormanec’s catalog has expanded considerably throughout 2026. Apple Music lists albums including “Headspace,” “Tapestry,” “Garbage” and “Frequency,” alongside singles such as “Diamond Dust,” “Buildin In The Sand,” “Turning Tides,” “Brick By Brick,” “So What,” “Lately” and “Trauma.” His earlier Lost And Found EP was released in November 2025.
Collaboration has also played a role in his development. His frequent collaborators have included GlobalTrapper and BARCLAY, while his catalog features appearances and collaborations with several other independent artists.
Beyond recording, Kormanec has performed for audiences of up to 400 people and has spoken about his ambition to eventually perform in Japan. He credits his wife, children and close friends with helping keep him grounded as he continues pursuing music independently.
From years spent developing his craft to charting internationally, Kormanec’s journey reflects a long-term commitment to building a career on his own terms. With an expanding catalog and a hands-on approach to his music, the Pennsylvania artist continues to push his independent vision forward.
